Meet Andrea Curran, the Heart Behind Sugar Sugar!
Andrea Curran, the proud owner of Sugar Sugar, brings a touch of magic to our community. Originally from Alabama, Andrea moved to the Houston area in 2009. She’s a mom of three and a grandmother to twin 3-year-old girls. Andrea’s journey to owning Sugar Sugar began with a simple visit to the store in May. By June, she had taken over, driven by her vision and passion for creating a delightful experience for everyone who steps through the doors.
Why Sugar Sugar is a Must-Visit
Unique Offerings: Sugar Sugar stands out as the only place in the immediate area where you can find a wide variety of toys, gifts, and hard-to-find trending candies. Sugar Sugar offers locally made gourmet chocolates, truffles, ice cream and imported candies, ensuring there’s something special for everyone.
Community Support: As a locally-owned small business, Sugar Sugar is dedicated to supporting the community. They also proudly partner with the Montgomery County Food Bank. Starting August 1st, for every Half Baked Goodness cookie sold, four meals will be donated to the food bank.
Exciting Events: Each month, Sugar Sugar hosts fun events like storytime, making it a perfect little outing (find the full events calendar here). Through the month, Andrea also has sales and incentives at the store. Pine Market also has a great green space right across the street from Sugar Sugar – perfect for running around and getting some energy out!

• I like to stop by April Sound Country Club, run into friends and enjoy an Old Fashioned.
• My favorite place in the world is Steamboat Springs, CO. Every time I go, I say I am never leaving.
• Fun facts…I have three horses and have had as many as 7 at a time. I was also a teacher for 16 years. People who know me find that hard to believe!
• I run one of the top ranked real estate teams in the Houston market. Sugar Sugar! is something I do for myself. That may sound weird, but I am having a blast! The store is never work to me.
Andrea’s Best Mom Advice
This advice is my own…for me, what I would most want to tell the moms of young children is to soak it all in. It is cliche, but it is true. It will feel like a moment has passed, then you are dropping them off at college. The one thing I wish I could go back in time and do is always be present in the moment. Life is full of distractions – let them go. Keep your mind where your feet are.
