Summer Camp at WRTSTW is for children ages 5-12. While each week will have a different theme, all camps will include the following:

– Open Play in the gym

– Snack time

– Organized tabletop activities

Currently, sessions are open for 9am-1pm with the possibility of afternoon sessions based on the instructor’s availability and waitlists. Specific dates for each theme will be released in April though Sensory Play is set for June 6th-10th (exploring all of the messy tactile activities, learn about our other two senses (proprioception and vestibular) through jumping/climbing/spinning, and develop obstacle courses and engage in organized movement based games), Handwriting is set for July 25th-29th (Campers will incorporate play, social interaction, and gross motor games with fine motor and visual motor activities in order to address the foundational components of handwriting. Handwriting is typically very tedious for kids, but it doesn’t have to be. This week, Handwriting/Learning Without Tears and learn new tricks from an occupational therapist will be incorporated), and School Readiness from August 1-5 (This is the last week of camp and will incorporate academic themes with games, songs, and messy play). 

Registration begins April 4th. General cost per week is $240 and $50/day. Priority is given to families signed up per week. Registration for each camp week closes two weeks before its start date.

Vitacca Vocational School for Dance The Woodlands

CHILDREN’S BALLET/DANCE CAMPS

Week One: May 31–June 4, 2022 (Cinderella Ballet Camp)

Week Two: July 11–15, 2022 (Swan Lake Princess Camp)

Designed for ages 3–9, the Children’s Dance Camps at Vitacca Woodlands are an exciting week of dance filled with a fun approach to ballet technique, and include ballet classes, choreography, and crafts focused on a favorite, age-appropriate classical ballet.

Through music and plenty of dancing, young movers will have a fun-filled week of exploration. The week will conclude with a short, in-studio demo/performance. Class divisions are offered to dancers ages 3–4, 5–6 and 7–9. Space is limited, so advanced registration is encouraged.

VITACCA SUMMER BALLET INTENSIVE

Vitacca Vocational School for Dance, Woodlands welcomes classically focused dancers ages 9–19 each summer to attend our Summer Ballet Intensive; no audition required. This season’s VSBI has limited onsite registration available for both sessions. Vitacca dancers will be placed by division and community dancers will be assessed on the first day of class.

Vitacca’s Summer Focus Weeks are week-long sessions of intensive training with Vitacca faculty and guest artists. Curriculum includes ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe, variations, contemporary, jazz, and creative movement according to placement level.

Community dancers welcome, please contact us for division recommendations. Audition not required. All dancers welcome. Dancers ages 3–9 are placed by age. Dancers ages 10–19 are placed with an assessment class or according to dancer’s division.
