Meet a Mom: Jojo Trumbly, The Corner Cravings | North Houston Moms

Today’s Meet a Mom is Jojo Trumbly, mama owner of the Conroe based vendor market – The Corner Cravings. Jojo is an entreprenuer at heart as her and her husband also own and operate Afforadable Air Repair. After beginning that business in 2018, Jojo decided she wanted to start another business where she was able to give back to other local entrepreneurs and spotlight women-owned businesses ❤. So, The Corner Cravings was born in January of 2021. Jojo is passionate about her vendors being successful at her markets – giving them a place to create connections and promote themselves in the community. Her markets are kid friends and always have a family atmosphere!

Check out Jojo’s #meetamom interview below to learn more about her vendor markets, future plans for her business, and all things #momlife. Plus, save the date for her next market on March 5th – TCC Hummingbird Market.

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in the North Houston area?

I am originally from Dallas but I have lived in the North Houston area for 25 years.

How many kiddos do you have and how old are they?

One baby girl – 15 months

What are your favorite local things to do? (with kiddos or just for mom!)

I love shopping local at boutiques and going out on the lake with my family.

As hard as it is to find the time, what’s something you do just for yourself?

I love to paint and create art.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

I am a (retired) actor and choreographer.

What’s the best mom advice you have ever been given (or your own advice to mamas out there)?

Talk to yourself the way you want your children talking to themselves. Give yourself GRACE.

Tell us about The Corner Cravings! When did you start your business and what do you offer?

The Corner Cravings is a local vendor market in Conroe, TX. I started this business in January of 2021. We offer a gathering place for locals to host their business and our community to support local business.

What was the inspiration behind starting The Corner Cravings?

My husband and I started Affordable Air Repair in March of 2018. I contribute our success to the wonderful community that we serve. I wanted to start a business where I was able to give back to other local entrepreneurs and spotlight women owned businesses.

What did you do before starting your own business (or still do if you still work outside of Corner Cravings)?

I still run Affordable Air Repair full time.

What has been the most rewarding thing about your work?

The most rewarding thing about hosting vendor markets is hearing of the success that my vendors have. When my vendors are making money, creating connections and promoting themselves in the community, it is such an honor to be a part of.

How do you balance owning your business and being a Mama?

Fortunately, I am able to take her with me wherever I need to go. The beauty of owning my own business is that I can be my own boss and set my own hours that work around my daughter’s schedule.

What are your future plans and dreams for The Corner Cravings?

The future of The Corner Cravings is bright. We will start hosting more events on a more consistent schedule. I am hoping in the long run to have enough money saved to build a gazebo and create an indoor/outdoor space that is comfortable for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Any events North Houston moms should be on the lookout for?

Our next market is TCC Hummingbird Market March 5th 10am-4pm.
Then – 2nd annual TCC Mother’s Day Market April 30/May 1 10am-4pm.
