SATURDAY, JULY 1ST
Freedom Fest
Historic Montgomery, 9am-3pm
Join the City of Montgomery to celebrate Independence with a parade, kids zone and vendors galore. The Anything But a Trailer Parade is FUN for the whole family! The celebration is held in Montgomery’s Historic District, 14420 Liberty St Montgomery TX 77356 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Conroe Stars and Stripes Celebration
Heritage Park, 6pm-9:30pm
Join the fun in Downtown Conroe at the 2nd annual Conroe Stars & Stripes Celebration featuring food trucks, vendors, kids activities, inflatables, live music & fireworks! The celebration will be at Heritage Park from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m.
MONDAY, JULY 3RD
Star Spangled Salute
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 6:30pm
This Woodlands tradition gets ready to soar once more! Join The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for the Star-Spangled Salute, a Free Event with the Houston Symphony on Monday, July 3, 2023. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Show begins at 8 p.m.
If you’ve been to Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute, then you know what it feels like to fly like an eagle. The magnitude of the musical moment always seem to lift the thousands of fans out of their seats (or off the lawn) and into pure patriotic wonder.
Whether you’ve been coming for years or are excited to experience it for the first time, Star-Spangled Salute remains the unmissable event that kicks off Independence Day for all. So gather your family and friends and get ready to celebrate America’s birthday with her greatest music – we’ll bring all the red, white and blue accessories you could ever need.
TUESDAY, JULY 4TH
South County Fourth of July Parade
Town Green Park, 9am
Put on your red, white and blue and get a prime viewing spot for the exciting South County Fourth of July Parade beginning at 9:00 am. The 1.3-mile parade around The Woodlands features marching bands, fire engines, clowns, floats and more!
Red, Hot & Pool
The Woodlands Township Pools, 10am-6pm
The Woodlands Red, Hot & Pool, presented by Kroger, will take place from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. with the 4th of July activities happening between noon and 4 p.m. Each pool in The Woodlands will have patriotic decorations, activities and refreshments (while supplies last). Daily fees will apply for residents and non-residents. Entry is free for season pool pass holders.
Oak Ridge’s 4th of July Hometown Celebration
Marilyn Edgar Park, 11am-1pm
Oak Ridge North will be celebrating a patriotic Hometown Fourth of July with a morning parade followed by a Party In The Park at Marilyn Edgar Park. Free family activities, car show, entertainment and more.
City of Tomball’s July 4th Celebration & Street Fest
Business Hwy 249, 6pm-10pm
Celebrate July 4th with the family at Tomball’s July 4th celebration on Business Highway 249 just north of FM 2920. Enjoy live music, food, and one of the biggest fireworks shows in Houston. Free admission and parking.
Business Highway 249 north of FM 2920 behind Kroger will shut down for the annual celebration as the street fills with live music, food, vendors, a kids zone and a giant aerial fireworks display beginning at 9:30 p.m.
Red, Hot & Blue Festival
Five Locations in The Woodlands, 6pm-10pm
Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment and family fun at multiple locations around The Woodlands! The event culminates with one of the largest fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area. Learn more at www.redhotblue.org.

Enjoy a variety of activities throughout The Woodlands at the below locations! All sites will feature live music beginning at 6 p.m. with bands playing until the Fireworks Extravaganza at approximately 9:30 p.m. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, oversized beach umbrellas and pop-up tents are not permitted at the Festival. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited.
Town Green Park (2099 Lake Robbins Drive)
Festival activities include fireworks, strolling entertainment, face painting, balloon art, children’s arts and crafts, and concessions. Live music on two stages: Town Green Park Freedom Stage – 100 Proof (Variety), and Town Green Park Independence Stage – Xtina and The Sound (Variety).
Northshore Park (2505 Lake Woodlands Drive)
Festival activities include fireworks, face painting, concessions. Live music by Level One Band (Motown/Fun). Residents should be advised Northshore Park access will be affected on specified days for event preparations and set up:
- Limited to minimal vehicular traffic July 2 through 3.
- No vehicular access on July 4 for safety and security, reopening on July 5 with limited vehicular access.
Waterway Square (31 Waterway Square Place)
Festival activities include fireworks, face painting, balloon art, concessions. Live music by Flashpoint (Variety).
Rob Fleming Park (6055 Creekside Forest Drive) Festival activities include fireworks, face painting, concessions and live music by Yelba (Variety).
Hughes Landing (1900 Hughes Landing Boulevard)
Festival activities include fireworks and live music by Time Warp (80s, 90s & Today’s Hits). Please note there may be limited visibility of the fireworks at Hughes Landing due to trees and buildings.
Fireworks Launch Locations
The 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. The primary fireworks display will be located near Northshore Park/Lake Woodlands, with a secondary close-proximity (special effects) display at Town Green Park. The 2022 Fireworks Extravaganza will also feature a fireworks display in the Waterway Square District near Timberloch Place and Waterway Avenue and Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park. To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, fireworks teaser shots will be fired from all launch locations at 9, 9:10 and 9:20 p.m.
Event-goers and spectators are encouraged to experience both the sights and sounds of the Fireworks Extravaganza by tuning in to KSTAR Country 99.7 FM to broadcast the soundtrack live on www.kstarcountry.com or by downloading the app. The app can be found by searching “KSTAR Country Radio” in the App Store or on Google Play.
Paid covered parking is available at the 24 Waterway Parking Garage (located at corner of Fountains Plaza and Lake Robbins Drive), the Waterway Square Parking Garage (between Fountains Plaza and Woodloch Court) and the surface parking lot along the corner of Waterway Avenue and Timberloch Place. Limited, free curbside parking is available along Lake Robbins Drive, Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square Place and Timberloch Place. Limited covered parking is available in the Town Center Parking Garage (2005 Lake Robbins Drive) and Whole Foods Parking Garage in Hughes Landing. Limited parking is available in the parking lots along Lakeside Boulevard. Additional parking in Town Center is available in the orange, blue, yellow and white lots along Timberloch Place and Grogan’s Mill Road, generously donated by Timberloch, Inc.
Due to limited parking in the Village of Creekside Park, residents are highly encouraged to carpool, walk or bike to the event. Parking areas include Creekside Forest Elementary School, The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park and Rob Fleming Aquatic Center.
